This workshop is perfect for DIY or interior design enthusiasts, or anyone looking to try something new. You will go home with a beautiful new one-of-a-kind lampshade and the skills to make more.

You will learn how to make, or upcycle beautiful modern lampshades to brighten up your space!!! No previous experience needed.

All you need to do is choose and bring along your own fabric (or choose from our selection for an extra cost, from £6).

£37 – you can make a 20cm drum shade, ideal for a bedside, or small table lamp.

£42 – you can make a 30cm drum which is a good size for most table lamps or a ceiling pendant light.

£47 – you can make a 40cm drum shade which is a good size for a larger table lamp, a floor lamp or a ceiling pendant for a large room.

As a guide for fabric, you can buy something or you can recycle some you have at home, for example from curtains or even a skirt/dress if the fabric is a single piece of fabric in good condition, with the dimensions below. A medium weight printed cotton, calico or velvet work best. A light weight printed cotton is also fine. Just make sure the fabric does not stretch, is not silky and not too thick like upholstery fabric. We can cut it and iron it ready to use on the night. The size of fabric you need for different sizes of shade are as follows:

20cm shade needs 80cm wide x 30cm depth fabric
30cm shade needs 110cm wide x 35cm depth fabric
40cm shade needs 140cm wide x 40cm depth fabric
